X-Men: The Manga (1998, Marvel)

X-Men: The Manga ran for 26 issues (1998–1999). Publishing format: was ongoing series. This is an American reprint (translated into English) of a manga produced in Japan by Japanese creators for a Japanese audience. Marvel used these stories as another attempt to break into the Japanese comic market (others being Spider-Man: The Manga and Hulk: The Manga in the 1970s). It was based on the Fox Network's X-Men animated TV series, which was showing in Japan at the time. All stories are adapted from episodes in the first two seasons (they are not original stories).
