Camp Candy ran for 6 issues (1990–1990). Publishing format: was ongoing series. Based on the 1989-1992 animated TV series "Camp Candy". Actor John Candy drew on his own experiences as the head counselor at a summer camp for kids in developing the TV series, but he did not have a direct role in creating the comic books. Some or all stories by Howie Post had revisions made on them by Scott Shaw, who was a producer on the TV series and oversaw/approved the comic books for the animation studio. Shaw was not credited for this in the books.
