CGC vs CBCS

CGC (Certified Guaranty Company) is the industry standard and the most widely recognized comic grading service. CGC-graded books generally sell for a premium over CBCS-graded books of the same grade, particularly for high-value keys. CBCS (Comic Book Certification Service) is a reputable alternative that often offers faster turnaround times and lower costs. Yellow Label books with desirable signatures (Stan Lee, Todd McFarlane, Jim Lee) can command significant premiums. Unsigned books with a yellow label or green qualified label may sell for less than a clean blue label, so understand the distinction before submitting.

Photograph the book straight-on against a clean, solid-colored background—white or black works best.
