Witchblade Manga (2007, Image)

Witchblade Manga ran for 12 issues (2007–2008). Publishing format: limited series. Stories from this series were originally published in the Japanese periodical Champion Red but have been transitioned into an American format reading from left to right for this series. Around the time that this series was being published, a Japanese anime cartoon was also released based on Witchblade but the story and characters are completely different from this comic series. To add to the confusion, images of Amaha, the red-haired Witchblade of the anime series, were used for some variant covers of this series, possibly giving the false impression that the two stories were linked or that the comic series was an adaptation of the anime series (which it is not).
