The Topper ran for 1963 issues (1953–1990). Publishing format: Was ongoing. Merged with Buzz (D.C. Thomson, 1973 series) in 1975, with Sparky (D.C. Thomson, 1965 series) in 1977. In 1989 cover title was Topper 89. In 1990 cover title was Topper 90. The features from The Beezer merged with those from The Topper to create a new series The Beezer and Topper (D.C. Thomson, 1990 series).
