The Mutt and Jeff Cartoons (1910, Ball Publishing)

The Mutt and Jeff Cartoons ran for 5 issues (1910–1916). Publishing format: Annual. Landscape/large format anthologies of contemporaneous newspaper strips, featuring Bud Fisher's classic creations, Mutt and Jeff; produced in 1910, 1911, 1912, 1915 and 1916 All issues were available in different cover hues; with alterations to the coloring of linen spine, cover background or printing ink; the extent of variation is made difficult due to natural aging/discoloration of these vintage items. The final issue sees Mutt and Jeff sitting in a World War I trench, printed in two colors.
