About this series

The Edge of Night ran for 6 issues (1973–1973). Publishing format: limited series. According to NC State University Libraries, this series of booklets promoting nutrition, were produced in 1973 for the Extension Service and later distributed in 1989. Paul Levitz emailed the libraries to share that the project was produced by DC and was initiated by artist and editor Joe Orlando, and given to Levitz and Tex Blaisdell to supervise. Levitz plotted the six parts of the comic booklets and wrote the first two issues with the following written by writer Jack C. Harris. The art was produced by the Redondo Studio in the Philippines. Blaisdell began as DC editor, with Levitz as his assistant in 1974, and Harris began working at DC in 1975, so the original year of publication might be off by a year or two.
