Super Book of Comics [Pan-Am Oil Co.] ran for 54 issues (1942–1943). Publishing format: was ongoing series. There are two sets of different contents with the same number for at least issues 1-8 (only one version of issues 9 and 10 currently known). Each issue was probably produced with three variants: Gilmore, Pan-Am, and no ad on cover (currently, #7[A] is the only issue where all three versions are verified). Convention of numbering 1A, 1B, 2A, etc. adopted from mycomicshop.com. Previous indexer (and Overstreet) was incorrect about the first issue being not numbered; the supposed unnumbered first issue is the 8th issue (Gilmore version).
