Roy of the Rovers ran for 851 issues (1976–1993). Publishing format: Was ongoing. Usually weekly except not published for the weeks of 2nd, 9th or 16th December 1978 or the weeks of 24th & 31st May and 7th, 14th, 21st June 1980 due to industrial actions. Double sized/bi-weekly issues 21st - 28th December 1991 and 26th December 1992 - 2nd January 1993. Hot-Shot! (Fleetway Publications, 1988 series) merged into Roy of the Rovers in 1989. Cover title was Roy of the Rovers and Hot-Shot! from 4th February 1989 to 12th August 1989.
