Jack Lake Classics (2014, Jack Lake Productions Inc.)

Jack Lake Classics ran for 9 issues (2014–present). Publishing format: ongoing. The Jack Lake legal issues over their Classics Illustrated license are reflected in this series. The first six issues were sourced from Mexican comics, printed as Classics Illustrated Special Issues in Germany, and finally appeared as Jack Lake Classics in Canada. No doubt, when these were originally being prepared by Jack Lake Productions they were intended to be issues of their Classics Illustrated series but by the time they were ready that license was in jeopardy. The seventh issue was sourced from Gilberton Material but, again, the license was in jeopardy so it became Jack Lake Classics #W14. The last five issues were all issues of Stories by Famous Authors Illustrated which had been brought into the Classics Illustrated/Classic Comics series. When JLP lost their license, they were free to reissue them as unnumbered Jack Lake Classics.
