Hey Kids! Comics! ran for 5 issues (2018–2018). A roman à clef about creators from the Golden Age of comics. Each issue has a segment set in 1945, then 1955, then 1965, then 2001. There are characters primarily based on Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Jerry Siegel, Joe Shuster, Bob Kane, Will Eisner, Joe Maneely, and many who are composites of several real people. The three main viewpoint characters are Ray Clarke, representing a typical artist; Ted Whitman, representing the few African American creators; and Benita Heindel, representing the few female creators. Each issue is a series of vignettes, rather than containing a single story.
