For Beginners ran for 24 issues (1975–1984). Publishing format: was ongoing series. Some volumes reprinted in U.S. by Pantheon. Series continues from sister companies Writers & Readers Publishing, Inc (U.S.) (1987) & Writers & Readers Limited (U.K.)(1992), which also reprint some of these volumes. Beginning in 1992 original series editor Richard Appignanesi also begins reprinting some of these original volumes for Icon Books in the U.K., but retitled Introducing... rather than ...for Beginners.
