Eagle ran for 455 issues (1950–1960). Publishing format: Was Ongoing Series. Publisher changed in 1960 when Hulton Press was taken over by Odhams and renamed as Longacre Press. Eagle (Longacre Press, 1960 series) 9th January 1960 #v11#2 is the first issue to have the change on the cover copyright, so is likely the correct issue in the change over. Mostly science-fiction strips for boys, including Dan Dare. The indicia on early issues gives the title as "EAGLE MAGAZINE with which is incorporated THE MERRY-GO-ROUND".
