The desert rain frog, web-footed rain frog, or Boulenger's short-headed frog is a species of frog in the family Brevicipitidae. It is found in Namibia and South Africa. Its natural habitat is the narrow strip of sandy shores between the sea and the sand dunes. This area is characteristic of loose sand and continuous strong winds, with approximately 60mm (millimeters) of annual precipitation and no surface water. It is threatened with habitat loss by such factors as mining and tourism. Estimates in 2011 suggested that there are less than 10 000 individuals, and with its reduction of habitat it is considered to be vulnerable.
