Buck Rogers ran for 4 issues (1964–1979). Publishing format: was ongoing. Cover title: "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century." Issue 1 was based on the Buck Rogers comic strip (1929-1967). The subsequent issues were based on the TV series Buck Rogers in the 25th Century (1979-1981), which was based on the comic strip. Issues 2-4 are a direct adaptation of the pilot episode of the TV series, which was also released in movie theaters. Issues 2-4 were reprinted as a giant-size tabloid book -- See Buck Rogers, Giant Movie Edition (Western, 1979 series). This series was canceled after the first issue, and then revived 15 years later with issue 2.
